Happy Birthday! |
There's
another reason for us to look forward to Spring - both of our children
were born in the Spring so we are always busy with birthday celebrations
this time of year. Being creative, artsy kind of people, we really
enjoy planning festive parties and theme parties are favorites of ours!
When we put that much effort into it, it's really important for us to be
able to record it and preserve the memories. As many of you know, that
can be hard to do when you are fulfilling so many other roles during the
party.
When your next birthday celebration comes around - whether it's a
milestone birthday (like your baby's first or YOUR 40th!)
or any other birthday in between - let us take care of recording those
memories for you. We can offer a full variety of services beginning
with custom photo invitations through the event itself where no detail
is too small to capture and finishing off with coordinated thank you
notes.
When you spend your time behind the camera, you can miss what's going
on all around you. Your focus should be on enjoying the celebration.
Let us provide you with wonderful memories of what you were able to
enjoy once it's over.

TIP CORNER: Taking Great Birthday Party Pictures |
As we mentioned above, it can be harder than you think to capture great
birthday party pictures - no matter the age of the guest of honor. With
everything you have to do on your list to get ready for the party,
pictures often fall near the bottom. With that in mind, we offer these
few tips to help you get some great captures at your next birthday
party.
- Be Prepared: It may sound silly, but if
you wait until the last minute to find your camera, check your
batteries, and make sure you have enough film or space on your memory
card, it will be too late and you will miss some great captures. Be
sure to check your camera long before the start of your party and get
everything you need.
- Zoom In: There is usually a lot going
on at the party. When there are too many things captured in the final
image, it can be distracting. Don't be afraid to zoom in close to
your subject and have him or her fill your frame.
- Candid Shots: Posed pictures can be
great, but candid shots can be so much better. While it's nice to
have Jonny pose for a picture with the wonderful gift Grammy sent from
California, the expression Jonny has when he is unwrapping it and
seeing it for the first time says so much more.
- Be Quick: Things move fast at parties,
so you need to move fast too. Great captures can be lost while you
are trying to figure out the best setting or waiting for the flash to
warm up. Be familiar with your equipment and how to use it quickly
and effectively.
